The Purpose of These Policies
These policies exist to create a safe, clear, and respectful foundation for our work together.
They protect your wellbeing, your privacy, your autonomy, and your right to be treated with care and dignity.
They also protect Nurtura Well-Being by defining the nature of the support offered, the limits of this work, and the responsibilities held by both sides.

Our work is reflective, meaning-centred, and grounded in emotional well-being.
It is not clinical, diagnostic, directive, or crisis-based.
These policies ensure that the support you receive is ethical, appropriate, and aligned with my level of training and competence as an Emotional Well-Being Practitioner.

You are welcome to ask questions about any part of these policies at any time.
Policies and Terms of Working Together
This section includes all guidelines, boundaries, and conditions that shape how we work.

1. Scope of Practice
-
I offer emotional well-being support through reflective conversation, meaning-making, emotional clarity, and gentle exploration.
-
I work within the five areas of emotional well-being: stability, meaning & direction, human connection, adaptive thinking, and emotional resilience.
-
I do not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical mental health services.
-
I do not offer crisis intervention, safeguarding services, or emergency care.
-
I do not give instruction, advice, or directives. All work is client-led.
If your needs fall outside my scope, I may refer or signpost you to more appropriate support.
2. Suitability and Safety
-
Sessions are suitable for adults who are emotionally stable enough for reflective conversation.
-
If you are in acute distress or at risk of harm, please contact NHS services, your GP, Samaritans, emergency services, or appropriate crisis support.
-
I may pause or end our work if I believe safety or wellbeing is compromised.
-
I reserve the right to decline or discontinue work in cases of persistent lateness, non-engagement, disrespectful behaviour, or unsafe conduct.
Your safety and mine are equally important.

3. Confidentiality
Everything you share is held in strict confidence.
Confidentiality may only be broken if:
-
there is risk of serious harm to you or someone else
-
there is a safeguarding concern
-
I am required to disclose information by law
I may discuss elements of our work anonymously in professional supervision — a standard ethical requirement.
No sessions may be recorded unless agreed in writing by both parties.

4. Online Sessions
-
All sessions are delivered online via video call.
-
You are responsible for finding a quiet, private space where you feel safe to speak.
-
Technical issues will be handled with flexibility, but repeated disruption may require rescheduling.
-
No recording of sessions is allowed by either party unless formally agreed.
5. Payments and Cancellations
-
All fees are listed on the Bookings page.
-
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
-
Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice: the session may be rescheduled.
-
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-shows: the full fee is charged.
-
For group workshops, all fees become non-refundable once the series begins.
These boundaries respect your time, my time, and the commitment of other participants.

6. Workshops and Group Conduct
-
Workshops are held online in groups of up to 7 participants.
-
You are encouraged to participate at your own pace; there is no pressure to share.
